School license
From the Teacher Manual, Appendix E.
This is the plain-language version of the license that comes with the kit. It is written so that a teacher can answer the common questions without asking anyone; the kit's own documents govern where they differ.
What the school may do. Use this manual, the student books it has bought and the Vault at the school named on the kit, with any teacher at that school and any number of classes. Photocopy the pages marked reproducible (Appendices A, B and F, the Observation Tracker and the exit-ticket bank) for use at that school. Play the backing tracks and demos in class, at rehearsals and at school performances, and record and share those performances with families and the school community. Print the scores for students and for the wall. The Vault's downloads open with the school code printed on the kit's support card. The student pages that the student books' QR codes open (the preview, and the backing tracks and melody demos to listen to) are open to students at home.
What the school may not do. Copy the manual or the student books beyond the reproducible pages; the student books are bought in class sets for that reason. Share the Vault's address or files outside the school. Sell, stream or license the backing tracks or scores, or use them in a product. Present the arrangements or the tracks as anyone else's work. Remove the copyright or reproduction lines from a copied page.
What moves with a kit. The license belongs to the school, not to the teacher. If a kit is transferred to another school, the license and the Vault access go with it and the first school's access ends. If the school adds a second set (Appendix G), the same license covers it.

Support. Three things are worth a message rather than a guess. A replacement instrument, by pitch, for one that has come out of use (Chapter 3.4, Appendix A): under warranty it is replaced, and after the warranty one can be bought; the support card gives the terms. A photograph and the lot code are enough for a claim, and the old instrument does not come back to us. One with holes or powder in a tube stays sealed in its bag; we reply with what to do. Vault access that does not work for a new teacher. A question about a lesson that this book and Chapter 10 have not answered. The address, the response time and what to include (kit number, pitch, lot code, a photograph of the fault) are on the kit's support card and inside the Vault.
